Did you know that old growth forests benefits the climate?

Micael Jonsson and David A. Wardle from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences published recently an article on the topic claiming that boreal forests such as those in northern Sweden serve as important carbon sinks, and therefore contribute to reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide and mitigating climate change.
