Did you know that old growth forests benefits the climate?
Micael Jonsson and David A. Wardle from the Swedish University
of Agricultural Sciences published recently an article on the topic
claiming that boreal forests such as those in northern Sweden serve as
important carbon sinks, and therefore contribute to reducing atmospheric
carbon dioxide and mitigating climate change.
